Senior Lecturer in Theoretical Ecology at the department for Ecology and Environmental Science
In a joint effort, IceLab and the Department of Ecology and Environmental Science are now announcing a position as senior lecturer to carry out research within the area of theoretical and computational ecology defined in a broad sense. Research may include studies of evolutionary processes, population and community dynamics, and/or biogeochemical processes. We are looking for a visionary researcher who is able to develop and scrutinize causal explanations for phenomena driven by dynamical feedbacks under environmental and organismal constraints.
Post-doc Position at the Department of Ecology and Environmental Science
The aim of this research is to identify and investigate general structuring mechanisms and nutrient pathways in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. This will be done within the framework of ecological stoichiometry theory, which is defined as the balance of multiple chemical substances in ecological interactions and explicitly considers the combined dynamics of key elements such as carbon (C), nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P)....

Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics
Post-doc stipend (2 years) in the topic of Metabolism of Glycosaminoglycans involved in tissue remodelling diseases This is a translational research project with cooperation between preclinical and clinical research teams. The research will be performed at the departments of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics and Public health and clinical medicine at Umeå University. The successful candidate will receive a personal fellowship from the Kempe foundations in Sweden.
Five post-doctoral fellowships at the Chemical Biological Centre, KBC
The fellowships amount to 240 000 SEK per year and are financed by a grant from the Kempe Foundation. The purpose with the scholarships is to strengthen scientific collaborations and at the same time promote rejuvenation within KBC.
